About the Role

We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacist I / Junior Pharmacist to join our expanding healthcare team. In this vital role, you will play an essential part in ensuring the safe, accurate, and efficient delivery of pharmaceutical services to our patients while upholding the highest standards of professional care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Dispense prescription and over-the-counter medications accurately and safely to patients.
  • Review incoming prescriptions thoroughly to ensure appropriate and safe medication use.
  • Provide patients with clear, comprehensive information regarding medication dosage, usage, side effects, and precautions.
  • Monitor medication inventory closely, ensuring proper storage, handling, and rotation of all pharmaceutical products.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date pharmacy records, logs, and documentation in compliance with organizational policies.
  • Identify medicines requiring replenishment and coordinate stock levels to prevent shortages.
  • Ensure strict compliance with all applicable local pharmacy laws, healthcare regulations, and safety standards.
  • Collaborate effectively with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support high-quality patient care.
  • Maintain exceptional standards of professionalism, patient confidentiality, and customer service at all times.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) degree or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D) from a recognized institution.
  • Valid practicing license from the Pharmacy Council of Nigeria (PCN).
  • Previous practical experience in a hospital or community pharmacy setting will be a distinct advantage.
  • Strong working knowledge of standard dispensing procedures, drug interactions, and medication management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills paired with strong interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work responsibly, compassionately, and effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Must reside in or be able to conveniently commute to the Ado / Mararaba axis on a daily basis.
