As a Pharmacist, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe, effective, and rational use of medicines whilst providing exceptional pharmaceutical care. This role involves dispensing medications, delivering clinical advice, managing inventory, and collaborating with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review, prepare, and dispense prescription medications in accordance with legal and professional standards
  • Counsel patients on medication safety, dosage, administration, side effects, drug interactions, and proper storage
  • Verify prescription accuracy and resolve medication-related issues with prescribers
  • Monitor patients for adverse drug reactions and provide appropriate pharmaceutical interventions
  • Maintain accurate, confidential patient medication records
  • Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations, ethical standards, and organizational policies
  • Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff as applicable
  • Manage medication inventory, stock control, expiry monitoring, and procurement
  • Participate in medication therapy management and clinical decision-making
  • Contribute to quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant pharmacy environment
  • Pursue continuous professional development in pharmaceutical practice

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD)
  • Valid practicing license from the Pharmacy Council of Nigeria (PCN)
  • Minimum 2 years' post-qualification experience in hospital, community, or retail pharmacy (preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of pharmacology, medication safety, and pharmaceutical regulations
  • Excellent communication and patient counseling skills
  • High accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to remain composed and make sound judgments in high-pressure environments
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and time management abilities
  • Proficiency in pharmacy management systems and Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within healthcare teams
