About the Role
Lily Hospitals Limited, a leading multi-specialty healthcare provider in Nigeria established in 1984, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Peri-Operative Nurse to join our growing clinical team. In this role, you will play a vital part in our surgical department by delivering world-class nursing care across pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative phases, ensuring optimal outcomes for every patient in a fast-paced hospital environment.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare operating rooms and ensure the seamless availability of required surgical instruments, supplies, and sterile equipment.
- Assist surgeons and anesthetists meticulously during procedures while strictly maintaining infection control and a sterile environment.
- Monitor patients' vital signs, neurological status, and overall physical condition throughout the entire perioperative phase.
- Provide comprehensive pre-operative education and post-operative recovery support, including accurate clinical documentation and patient assessment.
- Ensure uncompromising compliance with hospital safety standards, infection prevention protocols, and quality assurance guidelines.
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary surgical teams to optimize operating theatre workflow and enhance the patient experience.
- Valid practicing license as a Registered Nurse (RN) with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria.
- Formal certification or specialized training in perioperative or theatre nursing will be a distinct advantage.
- Minimum of 2 years of active clinical experience within a reputable surgical or operating theatre setting.
- Demonstrated knowledge of advanced surgical procedures, strict sterile techniques, and operating room protocols.
