About the Role

We are currently looking for a talented and driven People Consultant I to join our team in Nigeria, where you will play a pivotal role in shaping our workplace culture and supporting our human resources operations. In this capacity, you will provide end-to-end generalist HR support to designated business units, championing employee engagement, operational excellence, and organizational growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment, selection, and onboarding lifecycle, including sourcing, CV screening, and coordinating interviews.
  • Drive performance management processes, ensuring objective evaluations and addressing performance gaps through counseling and corrective action.
  • Identify training and development needs, coordinate with L&D specialists, and ensure staff complete mandatory onboarding and continuous learning programs.
  • Provide sound guidance on industrial relations (IR) policies, procedures, and manage disciplinary processes effectively.
  • Oversee HR administration, maintain accurate data management, process payroll documentation, and handle employee medical aid enrollments.
  • Supervise and mentor People Coordinators as required, ensuring high standards of administrative accuracy and compliance.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or Higher Diploma in Human Resources Management or a related field.
  • 3 to 4 years of solid human resources generalist experience, ideally within the retail or FMCG sector.
  • Strong working knowledge of Google Workspace and modern HR information systems.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with strong stakeholder management abilities.
  • Proven expertise in process management, time management, and administrative accuracy.
  • Demonstrated creativity and innovation in solving complex workplace challenges.
