About the Role

LemFi (Formerly Lemonade Finance) is building a neobank for immigrants in North America and Europe, helping millions of Africans move money freely and affordably across borders. Operating globally with a remote-first mindset, our Lagos hub is a vibrant centre of over 250 talented team members driving our mission forward. We are seeking a dedicated People Advisor to join us on a hybrid basis, acting as the day-to-day HR point of contact and partnering closely with our People Lead, Africa to foster an engaging, compliant, and high-performance workplace culture in Nigeria.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage end-to-end employee relations cases in Nigeria, including performance, conduct, and grievances, resolving them with empathy, fairness, and legal precision.
  • Advise and coach senior Nigerian leaders on team dynamics, performance management, and key people decisions.
  • Ensure local statutory compliance, supporting processes related to PAYE, HMO, Pension, NHF, and the Nigerian Labour Act.
  • Facilitate training sessions for people managers on LemFi management standards and support the rollout of global people initiatives locally.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition for local hiring needs and oversee Lagos office management, including culture building and workspace experience.
  • Champion the adoption of AI-driven HR tools to automate administrative tasks and enhance strategic employee engagement.

Qualifications
  • 3 to 5 years of experience as an HR Generalist with robust employee relations exposure within the Nigerian market.
  • Working knowledge of the Nigerian Labour Act and statutory requirements such as PAYE, HMO, Pension, and NHF.
  • Demonstrated experience coaching and advising senior stakeholders and people managers.
  • Familiarity with modern HRIS platforms, with experience using Rippling considered a strong advantage.
  • Pragmatic mindset, comfortable thriving in the fast-paced, ambiguous environment of a scaling tech company.
