About the Role
Sun King is the world's leading off-grid solar energy provider, distributing reliable solar home systems to over 82 million customers across more than 40 countries. We are looking for a dynamic PayG Phones TechOps Manager to drive the stability, scalability, and security of our Pay-As-You-Go (PAYG) mobile device portfolio in Nigeria. In this execution-focused role, you will ensure seamless technical operations, robust device-control compliance, and exceptional service delivery across our rapidly expanding markets.
Key Responsibilities- Manage end-to-end MDM platform operations, ensuring healthy configurations, strict access governance, and business continuity.
- Lead structured incident management for MDM, device-control, enrollment, unlock flows, and third-party integration failures.
- Own operational execution for online, offline, and USSD-based unlock mechanisms while minimizing fraud and policy leakage.
- Maintain rigorous security controls, compliance checks, and proactive risk dashboards for aging licenses and configuration gaps.
- Act as the primary technical counterpart to OEMs and MDM vendors, monitoring SLA performance and driving defect resolutions.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Commercial, and Field Operations to align technical constraints with business goals.
- Conduct regular field immersions to evaluate real-world device activations, unlock scenarios, and customer journeys.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Technology Operations, Product Operations, IT Operations, or Enterprise Mobility.
- At least 4 years of hands-on experience managing production technology platforms and Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions like Samsung Knox or Android Enterprise.
- Strong background in vendor management, SLA governance, incident resolution, and multi-country operations.
- Working knowledge of the Android ecosystem, APIs, SQL, system integrations, and operational data analysis.
