About the Role
Reddington Hospital, a leading multi-specialist healthcare provider in Victoria Island, Lagos, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Patient Support Officer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will serve as the primary advocate and guide for our patients and their families, ensuring a seamless, high-quality healthcare experience from admission to discharge. You will work closely with various medical and administrative departments to uphold our commitment to medical excellence, patient satisfaction, and world-class healthcare delivery in Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as the primary point of contact for patients and their families, offering compassionate guidance and comprehensive support throughout their hospital visit.
- Assist patients with inquiries regarding medical appointments, hospital services, diagnostic procedures, and billing processes.
- Coordinate seamlessly with clinical and administrative departments to ensure timely, efficient, and appropriate patient care.
- Manage patient concerns, resolve complaints professionally, and escalate complex issues to appropriate management when necessary.
- Conduct follow-up communications with discharged patients to ensure their ongoing recovery needs and concerns are fully met.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date, and strictly confidential patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Collect, document, and analyze patient feedback to help identify actionable areas for continuous service improvement.
- Uphold the hospital's rigorous customer service standards and promote a welcoming, patient-centered environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Management, Nursing, Psychology, Social Sciences, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 2 to 3 years of proven experience in patient support, customer service, or healthcare administration.
- Prior working experience within a reputable hospital or clinical environment is a distinct advantage.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with strong interpersonal abilities.
- Demonstrated problem-solving capabilities and a calm, empathetic approach to stressful situations.
- High level of emotional intelligence, discretion, and strict adherence to patient confidentiality policies.
