About the Role
Sagar Vitaceuticals Nigeria Limited, a leading pharmaceutical manufacturing company in Nigeria renowned for trusted brands like Vitaclox and Vitacillin, is seeking a diligent and experienced Packing Shift In-Charge for our ultra-modern facility in Ikeja, Lagos. In this vital role, you will oversee all shift packaging activities, ensuring seamless operations while maintaining the highest standards of pharmaceutical quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and supervise all packaging activities during the assigned shift to meet production targets.
- Verify correct Batch Packaging Records (BPR), packaging materials, and products before starting.
- Ensure thorough line clearance before start-up and after batch completion.
- Monitor packaging operations to strictly comply with approved standard operating procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Allocate packaging operators to lines, supervise their activities, and conduct regular training on SOPs and GMP requirements.
- Ensure equipment is clean, fit for use, and operating correctly prior to production.
- Monitor in-process checks and reconcile packaging materials and finished products to minimize discrepancies.
- Review and complete BPR documentation accurately and promptly.
- Report and investigate deviations, equipment breakdowns, and quality issues in coordination with QA, Warehouse, Engineering, and Maintenance.
- Enforce strict safety, hygiene, and housekeeping requirements across the packaging floor.
- Participate in validation batches, change controls, CAPA implementation, and audit preparations.
- Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree or HND in Science, Pharmacy, or a related discipline.
- At least 3 to 5 years of proven experience in pharmaceutical packaging operations within a regulated manufacturing environment.
- Strong working knowledge of GMP, GDP, and regulatory compliance standards.
