About the Role
Flour Mills of Nigeria Plc, a leader in the Nigerian manufacturing and food production sector, is seeking an experienced and proactive Packing Line Supervisor for our Golden Penny Foods - Premium Edible Oil Products division. In this vital role, you will oversee packaging line operations within our Bottling and Margarine Plant, ensuring that daily production targets are met while rigorously maintaining our world-class standards for quality, food safety, hygiene, and overall operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise daily bottling and margarine packaging operations to guarantee smooth and uninterrupted production activities.
- Ensure all finished products consistently meet established quality, food safety, and regulatory standards.
- Monitor line performance closely and drive teams to achieve daily production targets.
- Enforce strict adherence to approved process parameters and standard operating procedures among all machine operators.
- Prepare and submit accurate daily, weekly, and monthly production and efficiency reports to management.
- Plan production schedules strategically to minimize line changeovers, reduce operational downtime, and eliminate material wastage.
- Enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), facility hygiene, workplace safety, and Food Safety Management Systems (FSMS) compliance across the production floor.
- Monitor equipment performance proactively and coordinate timely maintenance interventions to maximize line efficiency.
- Lead, coach, and motivate operators and third-party personnel to boost productivity and performance.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized manufacturing environment while championing continuous improvement initiatives.
- Possess a minimum of a B.Sc or HND degree in Engineering, Food Science, Industrial Technology, Production Management, or a related discipline.
- Bring a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a production or packaging supervisory role within a fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) or manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrate exceptional leadership and people management capabilities to guide diverse manufacturing teams.
- Possess a solid technical understanding of manufacturing processes, GMP, FSMS, and stringent quality assurance standards.
- Exhibit excellent planning, analytical problem-solving, and decisive decision-making abilities.
