About the Role
International Breweries Plc, a leading beverage manufacturer established in 1971, is seeking a detail-oriented and safety-conscious Packaging Operator to join our production team. As a Packaging Operator, you will be responsible for safely operating and maintaining packaging equipment while optimizing process effectiveness and ensuring consistent product quality. This role is essential to our operational success and offers the opportunity to develop expertise in modern manufacturing processes within a reputable organization.
Key Responsibilities- Operate and maintain packaging equipment and related processes to achieve optimal performance standards
- Interpret and implement daily production plans according to shift requirements
- Operate both manual and automatic machines in compliance with established standards
- Monitor process quality and productivity metrics continuously
- Track and manage production data using PIMS and POMS systems
- Implement corrective actions in response to negative performance trends
- Maintain comprehensive administration records and reports as required
- Ensure a safe, healthy, and compliant work environment at all times
- Contribute to AB reports and continuous improvement initiatives
- Minimum Grade 12 education or equivalent
- Post-matric qualification or equivalent (N4 or National Diploma)
- Minimum 9 months hands-on training with SKAP certification completed within 12 months
- Proven experience in packaging operations within the FMCG industry
- IOB Certificate (advantageous)
- Strong understanding of health, safety, and labor legislation
- Demonstrated discipline, quality focus, and superior work ethic
