About the Role
LighTech Automation Electrical Services Limited is recruiting a skilled Packaging Machine Maintenance Expert to join our client's manufacturing facility in Nigeria. You will play a critical role in ensuring high equipment availability, troubleshooting technical faults, and optimizing high-speed flexible packaging lines to support seamless production operations.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, mechanical adjustments, and major overhauls of Universal Pack and Shubham packaging machines.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, sealing, dosing, and machine-control faults to minimize production downtime.
- Inspect and replace high-wear components including multi-lane dosing pumps, cutting blades, and four-side thermal sealing blocks.
- Execute machine setup, alignment, changeover, and synchronization of critical packaging components.
- Monitor and adjust operating parameters such as web tension, sealing temperature, and speed to maintain consistent packaging quality.
- Ensure maintenance activities strictly adhere to safety procedures, including proper Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance logs, equipment performance, and spare parts utilization.
- OND, HND, B.Sc., or B.Eng. in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of verifiable, hands-on experience maintaining high-speed multi-lane sachet or pouch packaging machines within an FMCG or manufacturing environment.
- Strictly required: Practical, hands-on experience with Universal Pack continuous-motion vertical sachet machines and Shubham multi-track VFFS machines.
- Strong working knowledge of mechanical systems, machine timing, pneumatic circuits, thermal sealing systems, and PLC-controlled machinery.
- Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, pneumatic diagrams, and basic electrical schematics.
- Strong problem-solving skills, high attention to detail, and a commitment to workplace safety.
