About the Role

Achieving Health Nigeria Initiative (AHNi) is an indigenous non-profit affiliate organization of Family Health International (FHI 360), dedicated to providing technical assistance for public health and development programs in Nigeria. We are currently seeking a qualified and dedicated OSS Triage Nurse Specialist to deliver exceptional clinical triage and healthcare services at our One-Stop Shop (OSS) facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive in-clinic and mobile triage and clinical assessment services to clients, ensuring safe, empathetic, and appropriate healthcare decisions.
  • Initiate critical nursing interventions, including first aid and emergency care, to improve client outcomes and maintain a safe environment for staff and patients.
  • Collaborate closely with the cART team to ensure seamless implementation of community and facility-based ART, PrEP, STI, and TB services for key populations.
  • Conduct brief clinical assessments to determine health care urgency, allocating appropriate care categories and sequencing for service delivery.
  • Assist the clinical supervisor in delivering high-quality HIV prevention, care, and treatment services across OSS and community settings.
  • Partner with the MIS Officer and multidisciplinary team members to utilize programmatic data for continuous quality improvement in health care delivery.
  • Document lessons learned and contribute to the development of best practices regarding the nursing components of comprehensive HIV services.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or completion of an accredited nursing program.
  • Minimum of 2 years of post-NYSC clinical nursing experience, with a strong background in patient triage.
  • Advanced nursing training and experience in maintaining computerized triage assessment records are significant advantages.
  • Demonstrated professional experience in HIV/AIDS programs, particularly focusing on key and general population interventions.
  • Extensive knowledge of public health programming in Nigeria, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to maintain strict patient confidentiality.
