We are currently seeking a dedicated and professionally driven Optometrist to join our client's healthcare team in Warri, Delta State. In this role, you will provide comprehensive optometric assessments, manage patient eye-care services, and contribute to the efficient daily operations of the clinic.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough and comprehensive eye examinations to accurately assess visual function.
- Diagnose and effectively manage refractive errors and common ocular conditions, ensuring appropriate referrals when necessary.
- Prescribe and oversee optical and therapeutic management plans within your professional scope of practice.
- Maintain accurate, confidential, and up-to-date clinical records for all patients.
- Communicate effectively with patients and colleagues, working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from a recognized institution.
- Successful completion of the required national internship and NYSC, or presentation of a valid exemption letter.
- Minimum of 1 year of post-registration or post-internship experience, though exceptional newly registered practitioners may be considered.
- Strong knowledge of optometric assessment, clinical eye care, and refractive management.
- Postgraduate training, relevant clinical certifications, and membership in a recognized professional association are distinct advantages.
