Key Responsibilities- Examine patients' eyes of all ages using specialist diagnostic equipment to detect vision defects and ocular diseases.
- Issue accurate prescriptions for spectacles and contact lenses, assisting patients with proper fitting and frame selection.
- Write medical referral communications and liaise with general practitioners and specialists for patients with chronic ophthalmic conditions.
- Meet operational targets regarding optical sales and assist in managing, supervising, and training store staff.
- Provide empathetic patient education, emotional support, and clear guidance on vision-related matters.
- Perform core administrative duties, maintain accurate documentation, and adhere strictly to clinic policies and procedures.
- Participate actively in community health outreach programs focused on preventative eye care.
- Must possess a Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) Degree from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant clinical work experience.
- Demonstrated computer literacy and proficiency with medical records software.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
