About the Role
Arete Wood Limited is a premier distributor of wood-based panels and products in Nigeria, proudly serving as the exclusive distributor of Kronospan boards. We supply top-tier materials to interior designers, architects, furniture makers, and construction companies across the country. We are currently looking for a skilled Optimizer to join our dynamic production team and ensure maximum efficiency in our material processing operations.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare accurate cutting lists based on approved customer orders and technical specifications.
- Develop advanced optimization plans to maximize material yield and minimize waste.
- Ensure precise edging and lipping information, covering edge type, color, thickness, and application requirements.
- Verify board specifications, including type, thickness, dimensions, finish, and overall quantity.
- Process jobs accurately and efficiently within agreed turnaround times.
- Generate accurate labels and production data for cutting and manufacturing.
- Identify and record reusable offcuts for potential future utilization.
- Collaborate closely with Production, Warehouse, and Sales teams to guarantee seamless job execution.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation, filing, and traceability of all optimization and production records.
- HND or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or strong practical experience in furniture manufacturing and material optimization.
- Previous working background in woodworking, cabinetry, panel processing, or related production environments.
- Demonstrated experience in preparing cutting lists and optimizing sheet materials like MDF, plywood, and particleboard.
- Proficiency in relevant optimization, cutting-list, or CAD software.
- Strong numerical accuracy and exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and work effectively under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
