Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough eye examinations to diagnose diseases, injuries, and disorders of the visual system.
- Perform complex ophthalmic surgeries and medical treatments with precision and care.
- Prescribe corrective lenses, medications, and other therapeutic treatments as required.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide holistic patient care.
- Participate in community eye health outreach programs, screenings, and public health education.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient medical records in compliance with healthcare standards.
- Mentor junior medical staff and participate in continuous professional development initiatives.
- Possess a degree in Medicine and Surgery (MBBS / MBChB) from a recognized institution.
- Must be a Fellow of the West African College of Surgeons (FWACS) or the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria (FMC Ophthalmologist) or equivalent international certification.
- Valid practicing license from the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of post-qualification clinical experience in ophthalmology.
- Demonstrated expertise in performing modern eye surgeries and managing diverse ocular pathologies.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and patient-management skills.
