About the Role

The Dangote Group is currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Operator/Patroller to join our vibrant Production Department in Nigeria. In this vital role, you will be responsible for the continuous inspection of assigned production sections, ensuring that all machinery and processing equipment function at optimal efficiency. You will play a crucial part in maintaining a safe, clean, and productive plant environment while minimizing operational downtime.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement assigned field activities and provide real-time feedback to the Central Control Room (CCR) team.
  • Ensure all processing and manufacturing equipment are cleaned regularly to maintain hygiene and safety standards.
  • Liaise closely with CCR operators and Shift Managers to facilitate smooth, uninterrupted operations and reduce downtime.
  • Conduct routine physical inspections of equipment in the assigned production section and document anomalies for immediate attention.
  • Report critical technical problems promptly to CCR Operators and Shift Coordinators for swift resolution.
  • Organize and participate fully in all scheduled cleaning and maintenance activities within the assigned section.
  • Ensure the timely execution of plant housekeeping activities to promote a hazard-free workplace.
  • Collaborate with Shift Coordinators and Section Heads to ensure daily and weekly production targets are successfully achieved.
Qualifications
  • Possession of a School Certificate or its equivalent in any relevant discipline.
  • Zero (0) to three (3) years of relevant work experience in a production or manufacturing setting.
  • Basic knowledge of the cement production process and general manufacturing workflows.
  • Familiarity with standard production equipment and their core functions.
  • Good understanding of basic material process flow lines.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong observational skills.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
