About the Role
West African Exploration and Production Company (WAEP) is a leading indigenous energy company headquartered in Lagos, Nigeria, dedicated to delivering safe, efficient, and sustainable hydrocarbon exploration and production. We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations Support Coordinator to join our diverse and motivated team. In this pivotal role, you will coordinate operational support activities across our offshore and onshore operations, ensuring seamless planning, resource readiness, logistics coordination, and cross-functional alignment for the safe delivery of field activities.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate day-to-day operational support requirements across production, maintenance, logistics, marine, and wells functions.
- Develop and maintain operational plans, look-ahead schedules, action trackers, and readiness status reports.
- Coordinate personnel, materials, equipment, vessels, and transport requirements for planned field and offshore activities.
- Monitor operational priorities and constraints, escalating potential delays or conflicts for timely resolution.
- Support shutdowns, maintenance campaigns, well activities, and project interfaces through integrated readiness coordination.
- Maintain accurate operational records, activity reports, dashboards, and handover information.
- Interface with contractors, vendors, and shore-base teams to ensure timely delivery of support services.
- Promote compliance with HSE requirements, Permit to Work interfaces, SIMOPS controls, and emergency response arrangements.
- Bachelor's Degree or HND in Engineering, Operations Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 8-12 years of relevant experience in operations support or coordination, preferably within the upstream oil and gas sector.
- Practical exposure to offshore/onshore production operations, logistics, maintenance, or marine interfaces is strongly preferred.
- Relevant project management, operations, logistics, or HSE professional certifications will be an added advantage.
