About the Role
HR-on-Wheels is recruiting an Operations Officer on behalf of our client in the recycling and waste management sector. In this dynamic role, you will play a crucial part in driving sustainable environmental solutions by overseeing daily field operations, optimizing collection and sorting processes, and ensuring seamless logistics across designated sites in Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Support daily recycling and field operations to ensure seamless workflow and productivity.
- Coordinate collection, sorting, processing, and transportation activities with high accuracy.
- Liaise effectively with field teams, buyers, vendors, and transport partners.
- Conduct regular site visits and promptly escalate operational issues to management.
- Monitor utility vehicles, recycling equipment, and scheduled maintenance.
- Prepare comprehensive operational reports and maintain accurate data records.
- Support strict compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) and company standards.
- Monitor daily activities and assist in resolving operational challenges on the ground.
- Identify innovative opportunities to improve overall operational efficiency and sustainability.
- Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Management, Environmental Science, Operations Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- 1 to 2 years of proven experience in operations, recycling, waste management, logistics, or environmental services.
- Good communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong reporting and documentation skills with high attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
- Working knowledge of HSE practices will be an added advantage.
- Must be physically fit and willing to conduct regular field visits.
