About the Role
The Food and Beverage Recycling Alliance (FBRA) is an alliance of responsible and forward-looking companies united by a shared concern for the environment and a commitment to collaborate with all stakeholders to build a sustainable recycling economy for food and beverage packaging waste. We are looking for a dedicated and metric-driven Operations Manager to join our growing team in Nigeria and spearhead our operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor collection centres closely and report regularly on progress, operational challenges, and growth opportunities.
- Validate operational reports submitted by various collection partners across the network.
- Develop and implement robust operational strategies, internal policies, and meaningful performance indicators (KPIs).
- Monitor partner performance rigorously to ensure full regulatory, health, safety, and Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) compliance.
- Conduct routine facility inspections and comprehensive operational audits.
- Identify innovative opportunities to improve process efficiency and consistently achieve strategic collection targets.
- Collaborate effectively with the Sustainability Manager, Executive Director, collectors, and other waste value chain stakeholders.
- Perform other strategic duties as assigned by executive management.
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, environmental sciences, biological/physical sciences, supply chain logistics, or business management from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 5 to 7 years of professional work experience, with a solid understanding of the Nigerian waste management or circular economy ecosystem as a distinct advantage.
- Must be at least 27 years of age with a valid NYSC discharge or exemption certificate.
- Demonstrated expertise in project management, interpersonal communication, report writing, and presentation.
- Prior experience in the oversight of construction or building projects will be considered an added advantage.
