We are seeking a detail-oriented and safety-conscious Electrical Engineering Technician I to join our Operations team. In this role, you will provide critical support for electrical maintenance operations, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and quality standards on our dynamic project sites.
Key Responsibilities- Support field electrical maintenance work and execute proper electrical isolation (LOTO) procedures for lighting, air conditioning, and motor systems
- Verify and issue electrical work permits to contractors while ensuring adherence to safety protocols
- Supervise contractor activities, intervene immediately on unsafe acts, and maintain a zero-tolerance safety culture
- Conduct and participate in Job Safety Analysis (JSA) reviews with contractors prior to work commencement
- Monitor contractor performance against Maintenance Procedure & Practice (MPP) standards to minimize rework
- Provide daily progress updates to First Line Supervisor and coordinate with planning teams
- Obtain supervisor approval for any work scope changes and verify job completion quality
- Proven experience in a related electrical maintenance or technician role
- Relevant professional certification or equivalent technical experience in electrical systems
- Excellent communication skills with ability to clearly document field conditions and recommend solutions
- Strong team player mentality with ability to collaborate effectively across departments
- Proven ability to manage tight deadlines and heavy workloads in dynamic environments
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as required
