About the Role

Bureau Veritas, a global leader in Testing, Inspection, and Certification (TIC) since 1828, is looking for a dedicated Operations Coordinator - Fuels to join our dynamic team in Nigeria. In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering high-quality services that help our clients meet rigorous standards for safety, quality, and environmental protection while optimizing operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Managing the scheduling of fuel inspections, coordinating inspector availability, and ensuring timely dispatch of resources to inspection sites.
  • Serving as the primary point of contact for inspectors, clients, and internal teams to facilitate seamless communication.
  • Overlooking the allocation of personnel, equipment, and materials to maximize operational productivity.
  • Ensuring all inspections adhere strictly to established industry procedures, quality standards, and safety guidelines.
  • Tracking operational performance metrics, preparing insightful reports, and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Troubleshooting technical and operational issues, implementing effective problem-solving strategies, and escalating matters when necessary.
  • Maintaining accurate records of operational activities, including inspection schedules, vendor interactions, and compliance documentation.
  • Assisting with the onboarding and training of new inspectors while providing ongoing support to the wider team.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Engineering, Operations Management, or Supply Chain.
  • Demonstrated experience in operations coordination, logistics, or the fuels and energy sector.
  • Strong familiarity with industry inspection standards, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities with a proven track record of meeting tight deadlines.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
  • Proficiency in computer systems, including Microsoft Office Suite and operational management software.
  • High level of attention to detail, accuracy, and strong problem-solving capabilities.
