About the Role
Smart Partners is seeking a dedicated and analytical Operations Auditor to join our dynamic team in Nigeria. In this role, you will evaluate the effectiveness, compliance, and efficiency of operational processes across various outlets and business units. You will be instrumental in identifying operational risks, control gaps, irregularities, and opportunities for improvement while ensuring strict adherence to company policies and standard operating procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct routine and surprise audits of operational activities, outlets, inventory, cash handling, and documentation.
- Review compliance with company policies, SOPs, and internal controls to safeguard assets.
- Verify sales records, stock movements, expenses, financial reconciliations, and supporting documents.
- Identify process gaps, control weaknesses, fraud risks, and operational irregularities.
- Prepare comprehensive audit reports highlighting findings, associated risks, and recommended corrective actions.
- Follow up on the implementation of agreed audit recommendations with relevant department heads.
- Monitor operational performance and identify practical areas for efficiency improvement.
- Collaborate closely with Operations, Finance, Store, and Outlet teams during audit exercises.
- Maintain accurate and organized audit working papers and documentation.
- Bachelor's degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- 3 to 5 years of proven experience in operations audit, internal audit, compliance, or a related role.
- Strong working knowledge of internal controls, inventory management, cash control, and operational procedures.
- Exceptional analytical, investigative, and report-writing skills with high attention to detail.
- Uncompromising integrity, professionalism, and commitment to confidentiality.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant business reporting tools.
- Prior auditing experience in the food, hospitality, retail, or FMCG industry is a strong advantage.
