About the Role
Amaiden Energy Nigeria Limited is seeking a dynamic and seasoned Onshore Drilling Engineer to join our expanding team in the Nigerian oil and gas sector. In this critical role, you will drive the delivery of high-quality drilling engineering solutions, optimize operations to enhance safety and productivity, and ensure full compliance with national regulations and company policies.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure delivery of high-quality drilling engineering solutions aligned with strategic company objectives and global best practices.
- Monitor asset rig operations to guarantee they are conducted safely and in line with operational programs and company referential standards.
- Prepare comprehensive well project costs, budgets, drilling engineering designs, and detailed drilling programs.
- Supervise contractor engineering and construction work, following up through Service Quality Management (SQM).
- Liaise with Nigerian regulatory authorities including NUIMS, NUPRC, NNRA, and NCDMB to secure necessary permits on time.
- Conduct Calls for Tenders (CFTs), prepare ITT documents, and evaluate onshore drilling and well services contracts.
- Manage critical interfaces with project packages, SIMOPS, and co-venturers while mentoring young cadets and junior engineers.
- Master’s degree in Engineering or an equivalent relevant discipline.
- Minimum of 10 years of professional drilling-related experience in the oil and gas industry.
- Mandatory certifications include IWCF Level 4 (to be acquired within 3 months of resumption) and DRILLCAP.
- Strong technical expertise in well design, drilling operations follow-up, well completion, and well intervention.
- Proficiency in industry software such as WellView, WellPlan, and Microsoft Office Suite.
