About the Role
Daiik Engineering Ltd is a diversified engineering leader operating across the oil, gas, petrochemical, and power sectors. We are currently seeking a talented and driven Offshore Pipeline Engineer to join our multidisciplinary team in Nigeria. In this role, you will play a vital part in executing complex subsea and marine pipeline projects, ensuring optimal safety, efficiency, and adherence to international standards.
Key Responsibilities- Perform critical engineering calculations including pipeline wall thickness, on-bottom stability, and mechanical strength to withstand high pressure and ocean currents.
- Conduct route selection by mapping safe seabed paths using comprehensive survey data to avoid hazards such as rocks and shipping lanes.
- Provide installation support by authoring robust technical procedures for pipe-laying operations utilizing specialized marine vessels.
- Ensure stringent safety and regulatory compliance by aligning all design and operational work with global standards such as DNV, API, and ISO.
- Oversee comprehensive testing and integrity management tasks, including pre-commissioning hydrotesting, cleaning, and ongoing corrosion monitoring.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, Ocean, or Offshore Engineering.
- 4 to 12+ years of demonstrable professional experience working on subsea or marine pipeline projects within the energy sector.
- High proficiency in industry-standard design and stress analysis software such as OrcaFlex, OFFPIPE, or Caesar II.
- Deep working knowledge of international codes including DNV-ST-F101, ASME, API, and modern offshore construction methods.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional communication skills.
