About the Role
Phidel College is a prestigious, fully computerized coeducational secondary school located in Isheri, Idimu, Lagos State. Established in 2013, we are dedicated to developing the next generation of world leaders through robust academic, moral, and social standards. Equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and a wireless campus, we provide a stimulating environment for both students and staff. We are currently looking for a talented Social Media / Video Editor to take charge of our YouTube channel and overall digital storytelling, helping us connect with parents, students, and the global community.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, shoot, and edit high-quality video content specifically optimized for YouTube and other social media platforms.
- Manage the school's official YouTube channel, including uploading, optimizing video titles, tags, descriptions, and thumbnails for SEO.
- Collaborate with various departments to capture school events, academic activities, sports, and cultural programs.
- Maintain a consistent posting schedule to drive engagement, subscriber growth, and brand visibility online.
- Monitor social media trends and analytics to continuously improve content strategy and audience reach.
- Design engaging graphics and short clips for Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok to complement video campaigns.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Video Editor, Content Creator, or Social Media Manager, particularly with a strong YouTube portfolio.
- Proficiency in industry-standard video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, After Effects, and Photoshop.
- Strong understanding of YouTube SEO, analytics, and digital content best practices.
- Excellent storytelling skills with a keen eye for detail, pacing, and visual aesthetics.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic school environment.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
