About the Role
The African Medical Centre of Excellence (AMCE) Abuja is a premier 500-bed specialty hospital developed by Afreximbank in clinical partnership with Kings College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. We are seeking an expert Occupational Health Physician to provide strategic medical leadership and clinical oversight, ensuring a safe, healthy environment for our healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities- Review pre-placement health assessments and oversee medical surveillance programs for high-risk staff roles.
- Manage complex occupational illnesses, injuries, and immediate medical responses to workplace exposures.
- Develop and implement institutional medical protocols, workplace hazard controls, and wellness strategies.
- Ensure strict compliance with national and international health, safety, and labor regulations.
- Collaborate with HR and legal teams on disability case management, return-to-work plans, and workers' compensation.
- Lead emergency preparedness, business continuity medical planning, and epidemiological investigations.
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
- Fellowship qualification in Family Medicine alongside professional certification in Occupational Health Medicine.
- Valid practicing medical license and board certification in occupational medicine.
- Extensive expertise in workplace hazard control, medical surveillance, and disability case management.
