On behalf of our esteemed healthcare clients, we are seeking a qualified and compassionate Nursing Officer (In-Patient) to join a dedicated team in Kaduna. In this role, you will deliver safe, effective, and high-quality 24-hour ward-based nursing care, ensuring positive patient outcomes through meticulous assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate comprehensive nursing care for in-patients across all shifts.
  • Administer medications and treatments accurately, including IV therapy and fluid-balance charting within the scope of practice.
  • Monitor vital signs and early-warning scores, escalating deteriorating patients promptly to the multidisciplinary team.
  • Maintain accurate, complete, and timely nursing records in compliance with infection-prevention and clinical-governance standards.
  • Lead admission and discharge processes while actively participating in ISBAR shift handovers.
  • Implement critical patient safety measures, including pressure-area care and falls-prevention protocols.
  • Ensure continuous compliance with valid NMCN registration, MCPDP requirements, and internal hospital policies.

Qualifications
  • Possession of a Registered Nurse (RN) qualification from an accredited School of Nursing, or a Bachelor of Nursing Science (BNSc/BSc Nursing) from a recognized university.
  • Current, valid Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN) practicing licence.
  • Minimum of 1 year of post-registration nursing experience (exceptional newly registered nurses will be considered).
  • Successful completion of mandatory internship and NYSC discharge or exemption certificate (for degree holders).
  • Demonstrated proficiency in patient assessment, care planning, and safe medication administration.
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
