About the Role
The National Institute for Nigerian Languages (NINLAN), an autonomous inter-university centre under the regulation of the National Universities Commission (NUC), is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nursing Officer to join our esteemed institution. In this vital role, you will deliver comprehensive healthcare services, promote wellness, and manage medical emergencies within our campus community in Aba, Abia State. Key Responsibilities- Provide primary healthcare services and nursing care to staff, students, and campus visitors.
- Assess, triage, and manage medical emergencies promptly and effectively before physician intervention when necessary.
- Administer medications, dress wounds, and monitor vital signs as prescribed by attending doctors.
- Maintain accurate and confidential medical records of all patients treated at the clinic.
- Health education and promotion campaigns, including hygiene awareness and preventive medicine workshops.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure smooth operations of the Institute's health facility.
- Manage inventory of medical supplies, pharmaceuticals, and equipment, ensuring timely requisitioning and proper storage.
- Possession of a Bachelor of Nursing Science (BNSc) or Registered Nurse/Registered Midwife (RN/RM) certificate from a recognized institution.
- Current practicing license from the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN).
- Relevant professional experience working in a recognized hospital, clinic, or academic health setting.
- Demonstrated competence, professional integrity, and excellent interpersonal communication skills.
