About the Role
Slum and Rural Health Initiative (SRHIN) is looking for a passionate and dedicated Clinical Psychologist to join our dynamic multidisciplinary team. Since 2017, SRHIN has been committed to improving access to healthcare information and services in vulnerable and underserved communities across Africa through advocacy, research, and technology. In this role, you will deliver essential mental health assessment, diagnosis, and treatment to our beneficiaries while playing a crucial role in community outreach, education, and stigma-reduction initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and provide evidence-based psychotherapy and treatment.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to the specific needs of vulnerable clients.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date, and strictly confidential clinical records.
- Support community mental health outreach, public education, and stigma-reduction activities.
- Collaborate closely with health and research teams on mental health program design, implementation, and evaluation.
- Provide clinical supervision and mentorship to junior mental health staff and volunteers.
- Facilitate timely referrals to appropriate specialist services when required.
- Master's degree or advanced degree in Clinical Psychology.
- Valid practicing license and active registration with the relevant professional body in Nigeria.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional clinical experience in mental health care delivery.
- Prior experience working within community-based organizations, NGOs, or public health settings is a strong advantage.
- Demonstrated strong ethical grounding, high empathy, and cultural sensitivity when working with underserved populations.
