About the Role
Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH), Nigeria's premier higher institution renowned for academic excellence and innovation, is seeking a committed and compassionate Nursing Assistant to join our vibrant campus medical services team. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining the health and well-being of our 15,000 students and 1,600 staff members, working within a dynamic and supportive tertiary educational environment.
Key Responsibilities- Assist qualified nurses and medical doctors in delivering prompt and professional healthcare services to students and staff.
- Take vital signs including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates accurately.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the clinic wards, treatment rooms, and medical equipment.
- Provide compassionate bedside care and attend to the daily comfort needs of patients under observation.
- Administer basic first aid treatments and manage minor injuries as directed by medical personnel.
- Maintain accurate patient records, treatment logs, and inventory supplies in compliance with health standards.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety, hygiene, and infection control protocols within the medical facility.
- Must possess five (5) O Level credit passes including English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics at not more than two (2) sittings.
- Must possess a valid Auxiliary Nurse Certificate issued by a recognized and registered health facility, or a Health Assistant Certificate from a recognized College of Health Technology.
