About the Role

In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining the health and well-being of our 15,000 students and 1,600 staff members, working within a dynamic and supportive tertiary educational environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist qualified nurses and medical doctors in delivering prompt and professional healthcare services to students and staff.
  • Take vital signs including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates accurately.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization within the clinic wards, treatment rooms, and medical equipment.
  • Provide compassionate bedside care and attend to the daily comfort needs of patients under observation.
  • Administer basic first aid treatments and manage minor injuries as directed by medical personnel.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, treatment logs, and inventory supplies in compliance with health standards.
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety, hygiene, and infection control protocols within the medical facility.

Qualifications
  • Must possess five (5) O Level credit passes including English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics at not more than two (2) sittings.
  • Must possess a valid Auxiliary Nurse Certificate issued by a recognized and registered health facility, or a Health Assistant Certificate from a recognized College of Health Technology.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and spoken.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate and patient-centric approach to healthcare.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and handle emergency situations calmly.
