About the Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in military hospitals, clinics, and deployed medical units.
  • Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and maintain accurate patient medical records.
  • Collaborate with doctors and other multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective patient care plans.
  • Respond promptly to medical emergencies, trauma cases, and critical care situations.
  • Promote health education, preventive medicine, and occupational health standards among naval personnel.
  • Participate in medical outreach programs and humanitarian missions as assigned by the command.

Qualifications
  • Must be a Nigerian citizen with valid means of identification.
  • Possess a Single qualification as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Possession of a double qualification or specialty (such as Registered Midwife, Accident and Emergency, Perioperative/Theatre Nursing, Psychiatric, Pediatric, Orthopedic, Ophthalmic, Anesthetic, Public Health, Occupational Health, or Nephrology/Dialysis) is a strong advantage.
  • Must possess the West African Senior School Certificate (WASSCE) or equivalent with at least five credits including English Language, Mathematics, Biology/Health Science, Physics, and Chemistry in not more than two sittings.
  • Current practicing license from the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN).
  • Good physical, mental, and medical health status.
