About the Role
Taidob College, a premier government-approved private secondary school in Abeokuta, is seeking a professional, compassionate, and skilled School Nurse to join our dedicated healthcare team. In this role, you will work in close collaboration with the College Hospital Doctor to deliver exceptional nursing care, promote student wellbeing, and ensure a safe, healthy environment for our entire school community.
Key Responsibilities- Provide prompt first aid, basic nursing care, and immediate attention to ill or injured students and staff.
- Work closely with the College Hospital Doctor to assess, manage, and monitor health concerns.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments in compliance with professional standards and school policies.
- Respond swiftly to medical emergencies, coordinating with the Doctor or emergency services as required.
- Maintain accurate, confidential, and well-organised medical records of all consultations and treatments.
- Inspect the school clinic, first-aid boxes, and medical supplies regularly to ensure optimal readiness.
- Support health education programmes, hygiene campaigns, and preventive healthcare initiatives.
- Registered Nurse qualification from a recognized institution.
- Current registration and valid practicing licence with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN).
- Relevant experience in school, pediatric, clinic, or general nursing is a strong advantage.
- Sound knowledge of first aid, basic emergency response, and infection control.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills with a compassionate disposition.
