About the Role
Discovering Talents Academy offers first-class education from Preschool to Primary levels, utilizing a blended Nigeria-Montessori curriculum in the Early Years. We are seeking a dedicated Nursery / Early Years Teacher to create a stimulating, safe, and nurturing learning environment for our youngest pupils, upholding our mission to make learning fun and bring out the uniqueness in every child.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and deliver engaging, play-based lessons aligned with our blended Early Years curriculum and developmental milestones.
- Implement the SHRID niche, focusing on early skill acquisition in literacy, numeracy, practical life, handwriting, and reading.
- Apply individualized teaching strategies to cater to the unique developmental pace and learning styles of each child.
- Promote clear diction and expressive communication through songs, rhymes, and interactive conversations.
- Provide attentive care, supervision, and support for pupils' physical, emotional, and personal care needs.
- Maintain an organized, vibrant, and safe classroom environment that encourages exploration and independent play.
- Foster warm, effective communication with parents regarding daily activities, student progress, and home-learning support.
- Possession of a Bachelor's Degree in Education or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 to 7 years of proven teaching experience in a nursery or early years setting.
- Strong understanding of Montessori methods and blended early childhood curricula.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
