Key Responsibilities

As a Nursery Class Teacher, your daily duties will include the following:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and age-appropriate lessons aligned with the early childhood curriculum.
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages children's social, emotional, and cognitive growth.
  • Monitor, assess, and record each child's progress, identifying individual learning needs and providing targeted support.
  • Foster positive relationships with parents and guardians through regular communication regarding their child's development.
  • Manage classroom behavior effectively using positive reinforcement techniques to promote discipline and mutual respect.
  • Organize creative activities such as arts and crafts, storytelling, music, and outdoor play to enhance motor skills and cognitive abilities.
  • Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all pupils under your care at all times.
Qualifications

To be considered for this position, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Possess a minimum of an NCE, B.Ed, or B.Sc in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience working as a nursery or early years teacher in a reputable school.
  • Exceptional patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with young children.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Creativity and resourcefulness in designing engaging learning materials and interactive classroom activities.
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to maintain accurate student records.
