About the Role

International Medical Corps is a global humanitarian organization dedicated to saving lives and relieving suffering through emergency healthcare training and development programs. We are currently seeking a compassionate and skilled Nurse to join our vital health team in Chibok, Borno State, where you will contribute directly to improving the health and well-being of crisis-affected populations by delivering essential curative and preventive care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide quality clinical nursing services, manage patient triage, and ensure smooth patient flow and consultation organization.
  • Administer routine vaccinations for children and pregnant women to reduce maternal and neonatal morbidity and mortality.
  • Perform wound care, dressing, and suturing while strictly adhering to MoH and WHO treatment guidelines.
  • Ensure accurate patient registration, data management, and completion of appropriate medical registers and reporting tools.
  • Deliver targeted health education and hygiene promotion to patients regarding disease prevention, nutrition, and lifestyle changes.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to screen patients for malnutrition and support capacity building for community health workers.

Qualifications
  • Qualified and registered nurse with a valid license to practice from a government-recognized nursing institution.
  • Previous professional nursing experience, preferably within an NGO or humanitarian emergency setting.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and decision-making skills with the ability to work independently in stressful environments.
  • Exceptional flexibility and emotional resilience to cope with challenging field conditions.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English, alongside fluency in relevant local languages.
