About the Role
EHA Clinics is a world-class primary health care service provider located in Nigeria, dedicated to bridging the gap between patients and primary healthcare services. We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Laboratory Technician to join our dynamic Laboratory and Diagnostics department. Reporting directly to the Assistant Manager of Laboratory Services, you will play a crucial role in delivering accurate diagnostic testing, maintaining stringent quality controls, and ensuring an exceptional patient experience across our technologically advanced facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Perform professional phlebotomy procedures for both adult and pediatric patients.
- Operate, manage, and maintain automated hematology and chemistry analyzers, pipettes, and other sophisticated laboratory apparatus.
- Label, sort, record, and track biological specimens efficiently using the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
- Monitor quality control protocols, run standards and controls, and perform routine equipment maintenance and calibration.
- Communicate abnormal results promptly to supervisory personnel, physicians, and nursing staff while maintaining strict patient confidentiality.
- Engage professionally and compassionately with patients and families to support effective healthcare delivery.
- Maintain comprehensive inventory records and assist with various administrative functions within the laboratory.
- Minimum qualification of a Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) from an accredited School of Health Technology.
- 1 to 4 years of hands-on professional experience working in a medical laboratory, hospital, or clinical setting.
- Possession of relevant medical laboratory certifications will be an added advantage.
- Up-to-date complete registration and a valid practicing license.
- Mandatory certification from the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN).
