Key Responsibilities- Manage the daily editorial workflow, assigning stories and overseeing the production of compelling news content across television and digital platforms.
- Exercise rigorous editorial judgment and fact-checking to maintain the highest standards of journalistic integrity and accuracy.
- Direct breaking news coverage with speed, precision, and clarity under tight deadlines.
- Collaborate closely with reporters, producers, and multimedia journalists to shape unique angles and underreported stories.
- Ensure all published content aligns with News Central TV brand values and regulatory standards in Nigeria.
- Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, English, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in a fast-paced newsroom environment, with at least 2 years in an editorial or supervisory role.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with an infallible eye for detail.
- Deep understanding of the Nigerian and African socio-political landscape, current affairs, and global news trends.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects, mentor junior staff, and perform effectively under intense deadline pressure.
