About the Role
Proten International is seeking an experienced Senior System and Network Administrator to bridge the gap between complex maritime logistics and mission-critical IT operations. Operating fully onsite from our client's facility at Tin Can Island, Lagos, you will supervise the entire network architecture, manage Cisco infrastructure, optimize server virtualization, and oversee critical technical vendors to drive 24/7 operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Proactively monitor the entire network infrastructure to ensure maximum levels of availability, performance, and security.
- Perform advanced configuration, management, and troubleshooting of Cisco switches, routers, and network appliances.
- Coordinate external IT, telecom, and consulting service providers, supervising compliance with Service Level Agreements.
- Manage and maintain enterprise server infrastructure including virtualization, storage, backup systems, and operating environments.
- Implement and monitor cybersecurity policies, firewall management, and disaster recovery plans.
- Plan and supervise technology upgrade, migration, and infrastructure expansion projects.
- Minimum of 10 years of proven experience as a System and Network Administrator or IT Infrastructure Specialist.
- In-depth expertise in network architectures, routing protocols, VLANs, and Cisco IOS.
- Valid Cisco certifications such as CCNA or CCNP.
- Strong experience with Windows Server, Linux, and virtualization platforms like VMware vSphere or Microsoft Hyper-V.
