About the Role
Royal Resource Management (RRM) is currently recruiting a compassionate, patient, and dedicated Special Needs Nanny on behalf of our esteemed client. In this vital role, you will provide personalized care, supervision, and support to children with special educational needs, ensuring they thrive both academically and socially throughout the school day. You will play a crucial part in creating a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment where every child feels valued and supported in reaching their full potential.
Key Responsibilities- Provide attentive, one-on-one care and active supervision for children with diverse special educational needs.
- Assist students with personal hygiene, toileting, feeding, dressing, and mobility as required during school hours.
- Collaborate closely with teachers, speech and occupational therapists, and school staff to implement care plans.
- Support the emotional, physical, and social well-being of each child, fostering positive behavior and engagement.
- Help maintain a clean, safe, organized, and welcoming classroom or learning environment for the children.
- Minimum of a West African Senior School Certificate (WASSCE) or relevant certification in early childhood education or caregiving.
- Proven professional experience working with children, particularly those with special educational needs or disabilities.
- Exceptional patience, empathy, resilience, and strong communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team of educators and therapists.
- First aid certification or specialized training in special needs care will be a distinct advantage.
