About the Role
Aster Bloom Academy is a prestigious, top-tier private educational institution located in the serene Government Reserved Area (GRA) of Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria. Following our exciting structural evolution and transition to a newly developed permanent site, we have officially expanded our operations into secondary education. We are currently seeking a passionate, skilled, and dynamic Music Teacher and Saxophonist to inspire our students and lead our instrumental music programs with excellence and creativity.
Key Responsibilities- Teach engaging, high-quality music and instrumental lessons to students across various grade levels.
- Specialize in saxophonist instruction, training students in technique, theory, and performance.
- Develop a comprehensive and structured music curriculum that aligns with the school's academic and creative standards.
- Direct and coordinate school bands, choirs, and musical ensembles for school events, concerts, and ceremonies.
- Assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback to foster continuous musical growth.
- Maintain and manage all school musical instruments and equipment in optimal condition.
- Possess a relevant academic qualification in Music Education, Performing Arts, or a related field.
- Demonstrated proficiency in playing the saxophone and at least one other musical instrument.
- Previous teaching or coaching experience within a recognized school or music academy is highly advantageous.
- Strong passion for working with children and adolescents in an educational environment.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
