About the Role
Christ The Redeemer's College, ChristHill, Sagamu, operates under the esteemed Christ The Redeemer's School Movement (CRSM) of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG). We are dedicated to providing holistic, morally sound, and academically rigorous education. We are currently seeking a passionate and creative Music Teacher to join our dynamic faculty and foster a vibrant musical culture within our secondary school community.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging music lessons in accordance with the school curriculum.
- Teach students vocal and instrumental techniques, music theory, and music appreciation.
- Establish and direct school choirs, orchestras, and musical ensembles for school events and religious services.
- Organize rehearsals and prepare students for school concerts, recitals, and external competitions.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their musical development.
- Maintain and care for all school musical instruments and equipment.
- Instill Christian values and discipline in line with the ethos of the institution during instructional time.
- Possession of a B.Sc, B.A, B.Ed, or HND in Music or a related field.
- Minimum of 1 to 2 years of proven teaching experience in a recognized secondary school.
- Proficiency in playing at least one musical instrument (piano, guitar, wind, or string instruments).
- Strong knowledge of music theory, notation, and choral direction.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
- Alignment with the Christian values and mission of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG).
