We are currently seeking a visionary Music Director and Composer to join our dynamic creative team in shaping the auditory identity of our upcoming groundbreaking productions.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the overall musical direction and compose captivating original scores for theatre, film, and digital projects.
- Create intricate and culturally resonant musical arrangements tailored to diverse African storytelling themes.
- Conduct and oversee rehearsals with vocalists, instrumentalists, and ensemble members to ensure artistic excellence.
- Supervise live and recorded musical delivery, collaborating closely with directors, producers, and sound engineers.
- Manage recording sessions, track mixing, and mastering processes to meet high industry production standards.
- Research and integrate authentic traditional and contemporary African musical elements into modern theatrical contexts.
- Proven professional experience as a Music Director, Composer, or Arranger within the theatre, film, or entertainment industry.
- Deep understanding of diverse African musical genres, traditions, and contemporary soundscapes.
- Proficiency in digital audio workstations (DAWs) such as Logic Pro, Pro Tools, or Ableton Live, alongside score notation software.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and collaboration skills when working with cast and crew.
- Ability to manage multiple projects efficiently and deliver high-quality work under strict production deadlines.
