In this critical role, you will be responsible for optimizing extraction processes, enhancing production efficiency, and driving operational excellence within our large-scale cement manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive feasibility studies, including risk assessments and environmental impact evaluations, to ensure the long-term viability of mining projects.
  • Oversee and optimize extraction processes, utilizing advanced mining techniques to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations.
  • Collaborate closely with geologists to assess the composition, quality, and distribution of mineral deposits.
  • Develop detailed mining plans encompassing schedules, resource allocation, and project budgeting.
  • Monitor operational performance continuously and implement innovative strategies to boost productivity and reduce operational costs.
  • Ensure strict compliance with all safety protocols, mining laws, and environmental standards while fostering a strong safety culture.
  • Train, mentor, and supervise engineering teams and operational personnel to enhance technical expertise and performance.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of all mining activities, regulatory records, and project status reports.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mining Engineering or a closely related technical field.
  • Minimum of 9 to 12 years of progressive experience in mining operations, engineering, or a related heavy industry environment.
  • Proven proficiency in industry-standard mining software and design tools.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Nigerian mining laws, regulations, and environmental standards.
  • Exceptional leadership, problem-solving, and team management capabilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for seamless collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
