About the Role
Premiere Urgence Internationale (PUI) is looking for a passionate and qualified Midwife to join our humanitarian mission in Nigeria. In this vital role, you will deliver comprehensive Maternal, Newborn, and Child Health (MNCH) and Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) care to vulnerable populations affected by crises, helping them regain their health, dignity, and independence.
Key ResponsibilitiesProvide high-quality clinical care and health education following international humanitarian standards and PUI protocols.
- Perform antenatal and postnatal consultations, screenings, and targeted family planning counseling.
- Manage normal deliveries and handle basic emergency obstetric and neonatal care cases safely.
- Identify Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV) victims and coordinate timely medical treatment.
- Manage efficient patient referral systems and follow up on specialized medical treatments.
- Maintain accurate clinical records, manage medical data, and contribute to weekly statistical reports.
- Ensure proper hygiene standards, infection control, and medical waste management procedures.
We are seeking a compassionate healthcare professional with strong clinical expertise and a commitment to humanitarian values.
- Valid Midwifery certification and practicing license with the relevant regulatory body in Nigeria.
- Proven clinical experience in maternal and child health, preferably within an NGO or humanitarian setting.
- Strong knowledge of SRH protocols, emergency obstetric care, and clinical data collection.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and cross-cultural teamwork skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in challenging environments with resilience and empathy.
