About the Role

Amaiden Energy Nigeria Limited is a leading provider of outsourcing, technical staffing, and consultancy services to the Nigerian oil and gas industry. We are currently looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Metering Methods Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, reliability, integrity, and regulatory compliance of metering systems across our onshore and offshore facilities. You will manage metering maintenance, calibration, verification, documentation, materials, and contractor activities in strict accordance with company standards, applicable regulations, and Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain fiscal, well-test, gas, water, and other specialized metering systems.
  • Ensure all metering equipment, tools, and materials are fully certified prior to site mobilization.
  • Conduct meter proving, calibration, and flow verification activities in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Develop and update comprehensive metering manuals, procedures, technical documentation, and DCS flow-rate equations.
  • Monitor overall metering system integrity, identify measurement inconsistencies, and recommend effective engineering improvements.
  • Manage metering spare parts, bills of materials (BOMs), functional locations, and optimal stock levels.
  • Prepare scopes of work (SOWs) and coordinate metering projects executed by external contractors.
  • Support maintenance planning and rigorously follow up on scheduled calibration and repair activities.
  • Liaise closely with well performance teams, maintenance planning engineers, regulators, joint venture partners, and product customers.
  • Ensure full compliance with HSE standards among contractors and company personnel while promoting a strong safety culture.
  • Provide timely technical support to ensure all measurement operations adhere strictly to company specifications and international standards.
Qualifications
  • B.Sc. or B.Eng. degree in Engineering or a closely related technical discipline.
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of professional experience in metering, instrumentation engineering, maintenance, or a similar technical role within the oil and gas sector.
  • Working knowledge of international standards including ISA, IEC, AGA, and API.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD and PDMS software will be a distinct professional advantage.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience with fiscal metering systems, meter calibration, preventive maintenance, and regulatory compliance frameworks.
