We are currently seeking a meticulous and dedicated Medical Records Officer to join our healthcare operations in Warri, Delta State. In this role, you will play a crucial part in managing and maintaining confidential health records to support clinical care, medical billing, and institutional reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate, complete, and highly confidential patient health records in compliance with organizational policies.
  • Manage comprehensive records workflows, encompassing patient registration, physical and digital retrieval, filing, clinical coding, and document retention.
  • Ensure strict adherence to data privacy regulations, including the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA).
  • Facilitate timely provision of medical records to support clinical care delivery, billing processes, managed-care operations, and official reporting.
  • Contribute proactively to ongoing data quality assurance, internal audits, and departmental service improvements.

Qualifications
  • Possession of a recognized qualification in Health Information Management or Health Records (e.g., BSc in Health Information Management, HND, or Diploma in Health Records).
  • Successful completion of required internship, professional registration training, and the mandatory NYSC program (or a valid exemption letter).
  • A minimum of 4 years of proven post-registration experience working within a health information or medical records management environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of health information management practices, clinical coding systems (such as ICD), and data-protection obligations.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, high accuracy levels, and effective communication skills for collaborating with both clinical and administrative personnel.
