We are seeking a skilled Medical Physicist (Brachytherapy) to drive excellence in cancer treatment, radiation safety, and clinical research for patients in Nigeria and beyond.
Key Responsibilities- Perform and oversee complex treatment planning for HDR and LDR brachytherapy procedures across various disease sites.
- Develop, implement, and manage a comprehensive quality assurance program for all brachytherapy equipment and sources.
- Ensure strict compliance with regulatory standards for radiation safety, source handling, and radioactive material disposal.
- Engage in clinical research, clinical trials, and protocol development to advance innovative brachytherapy techniques.
- Train, mentor, and build capacity for junior physicists, dosimetrists, and clinical technologists.
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary oncology teams, including radiation oncologists and specialized nurses.
- Minimum of 5 years of dedicated clinical experience in brachytherapy physics with hands-on HDR and LDR expertise.
- Strong background in brachytherapy treatment planning systems, dosimetry equipment, and afterloading machines.
- Proven ability in commissioning equipment, establishing safety protocols, and conducting regulatory audits.
