We are currently recruiting a dedicated Medical Officer II on behalf of our esteemed healthcare client in Kaduna. In this role, you will provide comprehensive clinical care in dentistry, managing patients across outpatient and inpatient settings while ensuring the highest standards of healthcare delivery and patient safety.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Medical Officer II, your daily duties and responsibilities will include the following:
- Assess, diagnose, and manage dental patients with decreasing levels of supervision, escalating complex cases appropriately.
- Participate actively in clinics, ward rounds, on-call rotas, and clinical procedures, contributing to departmental quality improvement and audit activities.
- Maintain accurate, timely clinical records and ensure valid, current MDCN registration and practicing license.
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team, coordinating patient care effectively with other medical services.
- Support managed-care and HMO processes through evidence-based, cost-effective clinical practices.
To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Possess a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS or BChD) or equivalent registrable dental qualification from a recognized institution.
- Successful completion of mandatory housemanship and National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), or possession of a valid exemption certificate.
- Minimum of 3 years of post-NYSC clinical experience, including relevant practice at the Medical Officer level.
- Current registration and valid practicing license with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).
- Demonstrated proficiency in clinical record-keeping, hospital clinical systems, and multidisciplinary teamwork.
