About the Role
King Solomon Hospital, a reputable healthcare institution located in Anthony Village, Lagos, is currently seeking a dedicated and competent Medical Laboratory Technician to join our dynamic diagnostic team. In this vital role, you will perform accurate laboratory tests, handle patient samples with utmost care, and support our medical practitioners in delivering exceptional healthcare services to our patients. Key Responsibilities- Collect, receive, label, and properly process biological specimens including blood, tissue, and urine samples.
- Perform a variety of routine and specialized laboratory tests using standard automated and manual diagnostic equipment.
- Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments to ensure optimal performance and accurate results.
- Record test results accurately in the hospital management system and report critical findings promptly to attending physicians.
- Strictly adhere to safety protocols, universal precautions, and quality control standards to maintain a sterile laboratory environment.
- Manage laboratory reagent inventory, request supplies as needed, and ensure proper storage of all biological materials.
- Minimum of an Associate Degree or Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology from a recognized institution.
- Must possess a valid, current practicing license from the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN).
- 2 to 5 years of hands-on working experience in a recognized hospital or diagnostic laboratory setting.
- Female candidates are preferred for this position.
- Proximity to Anthony Village, Lagos, or residing in very close neighborhoods is a strict requirement for easy commute.
